BIT's 5th World DNA and Genome Day (WDD-2014), Dalian, China

BIT's 5th World DNA and Genome Day (WDD-2015) with the theme “World's Dream of Bio-Knowlege Economy” that was held in Dalian, China during April 25-28, 2014 has gained great success. Nine Nobel Laureates and a lot of Renowned Speakers from many countries attended this conference. We express our great gratitude for all the participants in conveying their latest research results at our conference. Meanwhile, it's our great pleasure to establish close relationship with hosting organizations with Information Research Center of International Talent, China  State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs,  Dalian Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Dalian Sub-Council to ensure the excellent service quality and high profiles of the cluster conferences.

Nine Nobel Laureates have made the wonderful presentations at the opening ceremony including: Dr. Thomas C. Yonath, Director and Professor, Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, Nobel Prize laureate in Chemistry, 2009; Dr. Luc Montagnier, Nobel Prize laureate in Physiology or Medicine, 2008; Dr. George F. Smoot, Professor, the University of California, Berkeley, USA, Nobel Prize laureate in Physics, 2006; Dr. Theodor W. Hänsch, Director, the Max-Planck-Institut für Quantenoptik (quantum optics), Germany, Nobel Prize laureate in Physics, 2005; Dr. Hartmut Michel, Professor, Max Planck Institute, Germany, Nobel Prize laureate in Chemistry, 1988.

There were 2 Bio-economic forums, Nucleic Acid Forum and 19 scientific sessions following the Opening Ceremony covering topics in fields including: Next Generation DNA Sequencing (NGS) and Microarray; Genome Architecture of Diseases and Health; Genomic and Genetic Markers; RNAi and microRNA Technologies; Genetics of infectious Diseases and Autoimmune Disorders; Psychiatric Genetics, Neurogenetics and Neurodegeneration; Cancer Genetics/ Genomics, etc.
In addition to the highly specialized branch and forum, exhibitors’ booths at the scene of the conference were also a major highlight of the event. The enterprises provided scientists with advanced instruments, which also have been making great contribution to the scientific research achievements. They work together with the scientists to revealing the secrets of DNA-based research, biomedical studies and human genomics.

Viewing the warmly support and good suggestions from all the participants, we are confident in organizing WDD-2015 which would be better and more successful than WDD-2015.

BIT's 4th World DNA and Genome Day (WDD-2013) with the theme “Grand celebrations of 60thth anniversary of DNA double-helix structure discovery” that was held in Nanjing, China during April 25-27, 2013 has gained great success. Five Nobel Laureates and a lot of Renowned Speakers from many countries attended this conference. We express our great gratitude for all the participants in conveying their latest research results at our conference. Meanwhile, it's our great pleasure to establish close relationship with hosting organizations with China Medicinal Biotech Association, State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and Nanjing Municipal Government to ensure the excellent service quality and high profiles of the cluster conferences.

Roberts, New England Biolabs, UK, The Nobel Prize Laureate in Physiology or Medicine 1993; Dr. Avram Hershko, Distinguished Professor, Israel Institute of Technology Haifa, Israel, Nobel Prize laureate in Chemistry 2004; Dr. Rolf Zinkernagel, Professor of Experimental Immunology, University of Zurich, Switzerland, Nobel Prize laureate in Physiology or Medicine 1996; Dr. Ferid Murad, Professor, George Washington University, USA, The Nobel Prize Laureate in Physiology or Medicine 1998; Dr. Erwin Neher, Director, Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Germany, Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1991.

There were 26 sessions following the Opening Ceremony covering topics in fields including: Decoding Diseases and Health; Breaking Genomics Research and Technology; Breakthroughs in Genetics of Human Diseases; Non-Human Genetic Models; Gene Therapy; Omics Research; Translational Genomics & Genetics, etc.

In addition to the highly specialized branch and forum, exhibitors’ booths at the scene of the conference were also a major highlight of the event. BIT's 2nd World DNA and Genome Day (WDD-2011), Dalian, China

BIT'S 2nd World DNA and Genome Day, was held in Dalian EXPO Center, Dalian, China in April 25-30, 2011 successfully. The theme of the conference was Reopen Bio-Gateway in Green Economy Era. 2000+ participants experienced 4 days scientific program of the conference. 
At the opening ceremony, after the addresses of the Dalian government and the organizing committee, 8 Nobel Laureates gave reports on their works. They are Dr. Erwin Neher, Nobel Prize Laureate in Physiology or Medicine 1991, Director of the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Germany; Dr. Richard Roberts, The Nobel Prize Laureate in Physiology or Medicine 1993, Chief Scientific Officer, New England Biolabs, USA; Dr. Ada E.Yonath, The Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry 2009; Director of the Helen and Milton A. Kimmelman Center for Biomolecular Structure and Assembly, Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel; Dr. Aaron Ciechanover, The Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry 2004, Distinguished Research Professor. Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Israel; Dr. Thomas A. 9 parallel tracks followed the opening ceremony covering the main topics in this field, including Genomics Research, System Biology, Genetics and Its Translation, Proteomics and Human Proteome Project, Metabolomics/Metabonomics, Transcriptomics and Interactomics, Gene, Drug Discovery and Medicine and Metagenomics. 
After the conference many participants expressed their satisfaction with the content of the congress and had fine memories of Dalian. We believe that with the support and constructive suggestions the next conference will still be even better.

BIT's 1st World DNA and Genome Day (WDD-2005), Dalian, China

More than 5000 participants joined the opening ceremony on April 25, 2005. Five Nobel Prize Laureates and about 150 representatives from 25 countries offered lectures in 33 scientific sessions. The follow up events were extended to three other cities: Shanghai, Beijing, and Xi’an. Such an event has generated direct impact on more than 30,000 professionals, industrial scientists, managers, government officers, graduate students and even elementary students across China.
